Nairn's Book and Arts Festival has come of age with an inaugural Open Art Competition for June 2009's Festival week.
As well as the £1,500 first prize there will be particular encouragement for students whose prize will include £500 and the opportunity to hang a solo exhibition in 2010.
The venue will be Nairn's historic Court House where the opening & prize giving will be held on Thursday 4th June 2009. A panel of renowned artists, gallery owners and academics will judge entries in a variety of categories.
